NEMA Condoles NSCDC Over Loss Of Seven Officers In Kaduna

The Director General, NEMA Mustapha Ahmed Habib has paid a condolence visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) following the killing of seven  officers in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna.

The DG who was represented by NEMA North West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Abbani Imam Garki who on behalf of the agency extended his sympathy to family of the gallant officers who died at the course of service to the nation.  

The Commandant of the NSCDC, Kaduna State Command, Idris Yahaya Adah commended the agency’s gesture and reaffirmed to maintain the existing working synergy in disaster management.

During the visit, other important issues concerning the mandated tasks of the two government bodies were also discussed to improve the existing synergy between them.

Recalled, seven officers of the NSCDC during an operation were ambushed by the armed bandits who for sometime have been invading and terrorising villages robbing and kidnapping people requesting for ransom.
