NDLEA Lagos Command Gets New Commander

A change of guard has occurred at the Lagos State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) with the deployment of Mr. Umar Isa Adoro as its Commander.

Adoro, a Commander of Narcotics, succeeds Barrister Callys Alumuna following the minor redeployment of some Commanders and Senior Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd).

The deployment was contained in a statement by the public relations officer of the command Mallum Musa made available to journalists in Lagos.

According to the statement, Adoro who hails from Katsina State, had his early education in Katsina and later proceeded to the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State where he graduated in 1988 and bagged his First Degree in Sociology.

He was enlisted into the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in 1990 as one of the pioneer Officers.

he Iconic Senior Officer had a successful career progression in the Agency and served in various capacities before his redeployment to Lagos State Command as the New State Commander.

Among the Positions he held are:– Special Area Commander, Seme Border, Head of Internal Affairs also known as Office of the Professional Responsibilities at The National Headquarters, State Commander Ebonyi and Kaduna to mention but just a few.

The respected very Senior Officer has attended both Local and International Courses in the pursuit of his career in the Fight Against Illicit Drug Trafficking and Abuse. He also received numerous Awards and Commendations.

The Commander is happily married and blessed with brilliant, respectful and well disciplined Children.

His hobbies include reading, swimming, interacting, among others.
