An aspirant for Jos-North/ Bassa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Yusuf Umar has donated two buses to the Youth Wing of the party.
Making the presentation at the Plateau State secretariat of APC, Yusuf Umar also gave fifty thousand naira for the fuelling of the vehicles.
Receiving the keys before giving it to the leader of the youths, the state Chairman, Latep Dabang expressed appreciation for the gift.
He promised to work together with the youths for the campaigns and sell the ruling party in the 2019 election in the state.
According to him, such gifts from aspirants to the political party was only aimed at boosting the activities of the party and called on other aspirants under the political party to emulate the politician.
Earlier, the aspirant explained that he was moved to make the donation because of the logistic problems faced by the ruling party in Plateau State.
He said the gift was never to get the sympathy of the party machinery in the state towards his dream for the seat of jos-north/Bassa at the National Assembly.
Speaking at the reception organised to show their appreciation for the gesture, the chairman of the Youth Wing of the party, Steve Jings thanked the aspirant and promised the use of the two buses including the campaigns materials.
