NASS Member Empowers 200 Electorate With N20,000  Each

About 200 Christian and Muslim women including widows from Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency has been giving the sum of 20,000 Naira each with a training certificate in fishery and agricultural services  by the member representing the constituency at the National Assembly,  Hon.Goni Adam Alkali in an empowerment programme.

Presenting the cash to the recipients, the lawmaker charged them to use the sum accordingly to improve there wellbeing and wait for a future empowerment programme, which he intends to do before election.

According to him, the empowerment programme was initiated, considering the high level of poverty and suffering amongst the constituents, who have suffered from lack of qualitative representation.

He said he would continue to render such assistance to the electorate as dividends of democracy urging them to take full advantage of the initiative of the skill aquisition programme.

On the ongoing PVC registration, the member of the House of Representative called on the women to insure the collection of their PVC and urged them to guide it jealousy while they wait the time of election when they will use it to vote him into power again.

The women who were mostly PRP members where also giving training on fishery, and agricultural services in the two day training held in jos.

He announced that he intends to organize another empowerment programme to celebrate his 100 days at the National Assembly  in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in the forthcoming election in the state,  Mr Luka Pampe lauded the initiative of the lawmaker for the empowerment programme, saying “the party will do more if elected into power.”

He said, PRP will capture the state during election and call on all the stakeholders to rally round the party to ensure its victory in the forthcoming election.

Other political office seekers including Hon. Suleman Kwande contesting for the Senatorial election for Plateau North   election under the party and member of the House of Assembly for Jos North-North, Hon. Muhammed Umar all thanked the lawmaker for such magnanimous efforts to the constituency that was bedeviled by series of sectorial ethno-religious crisis since the enthronement of democracy in 1999.
