Nasarawa Gets New Commissioners

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Umaru Tanko
Al-Makura has sworn-in new 9-Commissioners, with the mandate to think outside the box and come up with fresh ideas that would move the state forward.
The new members of the State Executive Council who were screened last week by the state legislative arm were also assigned portfolios after taking oaths of office and allegiance administered by the Executive Governor.
Former house members, Honourable Abdulhamid Yakubu
Kwara and Honourable (Mrs) Mary Enwongulu were
assigned Information, Tourism and Culture, and
Women Affairs respectively. While, Engr.
Mohammed Wada Yahaya was assigned Works.
Zubairu Tanko Abdullahi was given Commerce; Professor
Jonathan M. Ayuba, Special Education, Science
and Technology; Dr. Abdulkarim A. Kana, Water
Resources; Ayuba Dogara Ayenajeh, Finance;
Bamaiyi Anangba, Youth and Sport And Malam
Muhammad Jamil Zakari was assigned Agriculture.
The Governor had on 8th February, 2017 sacked ten commissioners from the state Executive Council and immediately sent new names to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as commissioners.
