NAMCON Moves To Boost Economic Activities, Inaugurates Kaduna State Excos

In an effort to boost its economic activities, the Nigeria National Agricultural Mechanization Cooperative Society Of Nigeria (NAMCON), has Inaugurated new executives that will coordinate the activities of the Kaduna State Chapter of the association.

Revealing why they established NAMCON in Nigeria, the President, Comrade Aliyu Muhammad Waziri the Santurakin Tudun Wada Kaduna said they have executed many projects, including NAMCS Super Five (5) that is empowering the people through poverty alleviation and supporting the economic sustainability plan of the federal government.

“Also executed is the   Nigerian Mechanized Agro Extension Service Scheme, the second is Women Nurturing Empowerment Scheme, Birds for Wealth, while the third is, Home Grown Skills Acquisition and Nigerian Agricultural Market Space and Online, dedicated to buying and selling of Nigerian agro produce and the number five is, Farmers House Affordable Housing Scheme, for farmers in the rural areas,” he said.

The National President of NAMCON explained that they are coming with so many programmes jointly with three federal government ministries, which are  that of agriculture and rural development, ministry of commerce and ministry of communication and digital economy, under Sheikh Pantami, all with  intention to move NIgeria’s economy to the next level for the benefit of all.

“We are also working with some federal government parastatals like NAFDAC and those responsible for taking Nigerian products to the rest of the world for marketing and sales,” Santuraki disclosed.

According to him, “Our intention is to take  young graduates out of the streets for job creation, because every year, we  have young graduates without anything doing and no government can provide jobs for everyone.

“Promoting the culture of consuming  what we produce and producing what we can consume in the country, will boost our economy.

“We established  NAMCON with an intention to reduced poverty amongst the society with hope that each and everyone will benefit from the programme.

“We are going to boost the economy of the country, with the singular reason that some students that are graduates from various schools that have no jobs,  with NAMCON programme all will  be self reliant,” he further assured.

In his remarks, the Kaduna State Chairman, National Agricultural Mechanization and Cooperative Society, Sanusi Abdullahi Abubakar, revealed that with the help and hardwork.of their national body,  Kaduna State is ahead of others. 

Sanusi told the gathering of men and women from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State that there are so many issues that their programmes will address  to move  Nigeria forward.

“The idea of creating NAMCON started from Kaduna, now God willing, Kaduna State is now ahead and we are  ready to assist the country,” Abdullahi revealed.

The representative of Commissioner of Agriculture Kaduna State, Abdullahi Aliyu Musa said that the state government is always willing to partner associations like NAMCON to boost agriculture and other businesses.

“We have many programmes on how to use agriculture for business and also on livestock production,” he said.

In his remarks, the Vice President of NAMCON,  Abdulkadir Muhammad from Kogi State, said that none was  left out,  as he was  charged with  the presentations of letters of appointment for those with the leadership responsibility.

The zonal coordinators in Kaduna state are;  Balarabe Abdullahi  (zone 1),    Abel Danjuma (zone 2) and  Zakka Bako (zone 3).

They also inaugurated Kaduna State executives under the leadership of Sanusi Abdullahi Abubakar.

The event also  featured a question and answer session  for participants to get clarification on grey areas.
