Murder of Army Commander: Police Frees Suspects as Army Briefs Media

New Nigerian gathered that the five suspects arrested and detained by the Police over the death of the Commandant of the Army Secondary School, Apata Ibadan Col Anthony Okeyim were released on Tuesday.
Our correspondent learnt that the five suspects, including two soldiers and three civilians were granted bail at the state CID, Iyaganku, Ibadan where they have being kept for over a month.
Deputy Director Public Relations, 2 Mechanised Division, Nigerian Army, Odogbo, Ibadan , Col. Timothy Antigha on Tuesday hinted that the Army is to brief the media on the state of investigation into the death of the former Commandant of the Army Secondary School, Apata Ibadan Col Anthony Okeyim.
According to the Deputy Director Public Relations, the briefing would hold at the Headquarters 2 Division of the Nigeria Army, Odogbo area of Ibadan.
It will be recalled that the Deputy Director Public Relations, 2 Mechanised Division, Nigerian Army, Odogbo, Ibadan , Col. Antigha last week said  the Army would fish out killers of the Command Secondary School’s Commandant.
He declared that the army is ready to do everything possible to fish out the Commandant’s killers by working in conjunction with the police and the Department of State Services, saying, the joint investigation “would not be concluded until the perpetrators of the crime are identified and brought to justice.”
The former Commandant Command of the Army Secondary School, Apata Ibadan was killed in the premises of Command Secondary School Apata Ibadan on December 12, 2016.
