MoU; Kebbi transports 2, 000, 200 consignments Of Rams, Cattle to Lagos

As Part of implementaion of memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the governments of Lagos and Kebbi state on agircultural products value chain development, Kebbi State has transported two thousand consignments of rams and two hundred cattle to Lagos State.
Kebbi State Coordinator of the LASKEB MOU, Alhaji Usman Dangaladima said the agreement covers agro based commodities such as rice, wheat, soya beans, maize, groundnut and perishable products as wll as livestock and fish.
According to him, the agreement will enable Kebbi State source the commodities while Lagos state will process them for marketing with APMCO Managing the bussiness on behalf of the two governments and third partner San Carlos, a Mexican company based in Lagos.
Dangaladima noted that the initiative is one with multipleir effect which accomodates various strata of the society ranging from farmers, marketers, transporters, labourers, food vendors, and several others that would be engaged in one bussiness activity or the other based on the arrangement.
A bussinessman in Kebbi who spoke to New Nigerian on-Line commended the efforts of the governments of Lagos and Kebbi for such a wonderful economic development measure aimed at promoting agricultural activities in both states.
