*say 90 youth killed in 2022 alone

A Fulani Socio- Cultural Association, Miyyetti Allah Kautal Hore Kaduna State Chapter has condemned on totality, the alleged killing of pastoralists in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Chairman Miyyetti Allah Kautal Hore Kaduna State Chapter, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu, dated Saturday December 3 2022.”We; as an association of pastoralists descents are calling for the quick intervention of government and security agencies and by extension non- governmental organizations to investigate and prosecute all those involved in the indiscriminate killings of innocent pastoralists Fulbe Youth across Kaduna State,” the group said.
They lamented that, “recently, suspected security agents allegedly opened fire on two innocent youth on Friday December 2, 2022 in Unguwan Nungu of Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State at about 5pm (Nyko Usman & Wada Gwadai).”
Miyetti Allah explained that while they awaited government response on another killings of two innocents Fulani nomads in Makarfi LGA at Laudu Community of Gimi District under Mayere Ward on November 13, 2022 (Adamu Baka & Abubakar Baso), these heinous and extra judicial killings are not only condemnable by all standards, but equally deplorable and an attempt at ethnic cleansing.
“We shall no longer stand by and watch while our youth are cut short of their lives without any legal or criminal indications.
“Stereotypically, the perpetrators of crimes among Fulani pastoralists youth are less than one per cent, but the society and some law enforcement agents consider all Fulani youth as criminals and subject them to indiscriminate and extra judicial killings which always goes unpunished and unheard.
” Most importantly, the assailant of these innocent Fulani are exploiting them based on their lack of knowledge of their rights, pure ethnicity as a result of non opportunity to have their brothers in the security agencies and political reasons. “Further to these, the security agencies should enlighten their personnel more on the oath of office and the implication of breaching them deliberately. “The Miyyetti Allah Kautal Hore Kaduna State Chapter strongly calls on the government and law enforcement agencies to deeply and properly filter their sources of information against a group of people or tribes in order to put a stop to the killings and maiming of innocents and ordinary Fulani nomads/ pastoralists especially their productive youths whose lives were cut off at a tender age.
“By critical configuration, we have recorded such incidence of killings to be above ninety (90) innocent Fulani nomads from January 2022 to December 2022 and no person was prosecuted because they always give dogs bad names to kill them merely because they don’t have their people at the top. “We; the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Kaduna state Chapter shall continue to push for investigation and prosecution through proper channels of proper legally laid down rules”.
