MIMAHT matriculate 60 Students

Medi-cure Institute for Medical Research and Health Technology, (MIMAHT), Zaria has matriculated 60 students for the two courses that are paramount importance to the community.
Speaking at the first Matriculation ceremony held at the shool premises, the Academic Secretary, Malam Awwal Muhammad Shafi’u said, the two courses are Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) and Preparatory Nursing.
According to him, the establishing the Institution was propelled by the unending demand by the immediate community and to complement government efforts in meeting the healthcare delivery.
Malam Shafi’u said MIMAHT, Shafi’iyyah Medi-cure Nursing Home was established over six years ago to carter in terms of manpower in health services.
“Every academic setting has its own unique framework, ours at MIMAHT is “MERIT” our students have passed all the entry requirements in which the best among them were encouraged and offered scholarship to pursue their course of interest”.
The institute is making plan to introduce more courses by the next session which includes Environmental Health, Pharmacy Assistant, Health Information and Management, Laboratory Technician and Skilled Birth Attendant.
In her welcome address the Director of the Institute, Dr. Asma Irshad reminded the students of working hard to achieve as professionals and deliver essential health care services at the community and beyond.
She hoped that the students will mirror their commitment to reviving and strengthening the primary health care system in Nigeria and to be good ambassadors of the vision of the MIMAHT.
