Kaduna State Transport Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA), Unit Commander of Millennium City Kaduna State, Mr. Garba Shehu Hai has been commended for his efforts in reducing accidents in the area.
Some residents of Millennium City, Alhaji Kabiru Abdullahi and Malama Zaynab Isa gave the commendation, while speaking to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday.
They explained that the Unit Commander, Mr. Garba Shehu Hai introduced some measures to stop motorists from following one-way, which was tye main cause of several accidents in the area.
” On many occasions, the Unit Commander of Millennium City Garba Shehu Hai, participated in the operations to ensure that none follows one-way, or motorists reduce their speed on the road.
According to them, the two accident points are the u-turns around Urban Shelter and the new NNPC filling station (Old Oando filling station) when drivers decided to ply one-way.
” People lose their lives most of the times at these u-turns, but we are happy it has now reduced drastically, because of the measures taken by KASTLEA officials of Millennium City.
Also, Umar Sani, a commercial driver in the area, commended the officials for adopting civil ways of addressing road offenders and urged other units to emulate them for peaceful coexistence.
He described the Unit Commander of Millennium City, Garba Shehu Hai as a dedicated leader and gentleman, who leads by example to ensure accident free road at all times and urged management of KASTLEA to give him all the necessary support.
