Ahead of the crucial Africa Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharoahs of Egypt billed for the Ahmadu Belo Stadium (ABS), Kaduna today, journalists were barred from covering the Super Eagles’ training session at ABS on Thursday.

As at time of filing this report, the Super Eagles were locked up in a closed-door training session.

Journalists that were fortunate to have gained entrance into the premises were however not that lucky to gain entrance into the main bowl as stern looking anti-riot Police men chased them out under the instruction of an Assistant Commissioner of Police attached to the Super Eagles.

The gates into the administrative areas of the ABS that leads to the main bowl was heavily besieged by fans who thronged the stadium.

The fans were disappointed that they were also barred from gaining access into the main bowl. They were heard chanting ‘let us in, let us in’.

It is expected that the match will witness a huge turn-out.

After much pressure, the fans were able to force their way into the stadium, after overpowering the police men mounting the gate.
