*Bags Chieftaincy title “Dikediohanma”

People of Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone in Ebonyi State, comprising Ivo, Afikpo, Edda, Onicha and Ohaozara local government areas have staged a civic reception in honour of Governor David Nweze Umahi following the imminent completion of his tenure as governor.
The civic reception was held at the Osborn La Palm Event Centre, Uburu, Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Occasion, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji applauded Governor Umahi for his superlative performance as Governor which has birthed a new Ebonyi State in line with the dreams of the founding fathers.
“Your Excellency, it is not a fluke that you went, you saw and you conquered, we wish you well in the Senate.”
He observed that the good legacies of the Governor have earned people of the Zone high regard among contemporaries in the state and beyond.
An Elder Statesman, Chief Mike Okoro assured that people of the Zone would continue to remain grateful to Governor Umahi for his giant infrastructural accomplishments.
Responding, Governor David Nweze Umahi thanked the organizers of the event for the honour done him and prayed God to bless them.
He assured that he was going to Abuja as Senator to consolidate on his achievements as governor.
Engineer Umahi pledged that he would work hard at the red Chambers of the National Assembly to improve the fortunes of people of the zone, state and Ndigbo.
Traditional Rulers from the Zone conferred the Chieftaincy title of “Dikediohanma” on Governor Umahi and Nnediohanma on his wife.
Governor Umahi had on arrival in Uburu, commissioned the Uburu Regional Market, the Umunaga Town hall, Nweke Agugwu market as well as Senior Police Officers’ quarters at the Uburu Industrial Cluster constructed by his administration.
