May 29: Ambassador At Large African Region, Dr Malami Shehu Calls For Peaceful Transition Of Power  In Nigeria

Ambassador At Large African Region of International Human Rights Commission,  Dr. Malami Shehu Ma’aji  has urged all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful transition of power on May 29 in respect of democracy and rule of law of Nigeria.

The Ambassador At Large made the call while addressing journalists in Abuja, Nigeria.

Dr. Malami Shehu Ma’aji who received his appointment letter as the Ambassador At Large, African Region in 2022 with diploma identify card, HQ-IHRC05051/22 signed by the World Chairman and Ambassador At Large of the Commission, Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan shortly after been conferred with the National Honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) by President Muhammadu Buhari said   authorities must also ensure that security agencies operate strictly the International Human Rights Principles and respect rule of law.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for steps taken and preparations on ground in ensuring peaceful transition on May 29 for the development of democracy of the country.

“The main objectives of International Human Rights Commission are to serve humanity irrespective of their differences in religion, region and tribe, as well as struggle against violation of human rights, bloodshed and terrorism in Africa and the world” he said.

According to the Ambassador At Large African Region, Dr. Malami Shehu Ma’aji, the commission had also provided services to ensure peace and political stability are maintained  in Africa and the world in general.

” We provide awareness and educate the governments, legislatures, diplomats among others to ensure people’s rights are been respected and also protected.

Dr. Shehu Malami announced that he visited some African countries as part of his responsibilities to ensure that rule of law and human rights are been respected.

As the representative of the Commission in African Region, Dr Malami appealed to youths not to allow themselves to be used by selfish politicians for their own personal interest but rather to support the rule of law and peace and unity of the country.
