Maulud: Bauchi Governor sues for peace

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi state has enjoined Muslims to use the Maulud celebration to promote the fear of God, peace, harmony and honesty as exemplified by the teachings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad.
The Governor in a goodwill message to this year’s Maulud celebration noted that the Prophet of Islam not only lived an exemplary life, but also preached peace, honesty and unity to his followers.
Abubakar, in a press statement signed by his press secretary, Abubakar al-Sadique, appealed for sober reflection and self-evaluation among the Muslims with a view to understand how they relate with their creator and other human beings during the past year so as to make amend.
He further appealed to the people to offer special prayers for peace to reign in the state and the nation in general in the face of the current security challenges in parts of the country.
