Masked gunmen kidnap Reverend in Ibadan

A Minister of God with the Methodist Church, Agodi, Ibadan Diocese Rev. Dr. Biodun Ogunbeku was on Thursday evening kidnapped by five gunmen.
Bishop of Agodi Diocese of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Bishop Amos Ajiboye stated this in Ibadan while addressing newsmen at the Methodist Church, Akobo on Friday.
According to Bishop Ajiboye, Rev. Ogunbeku, was reportedly abducted at about 7pm at his Olorunda, Akinyele, Ibadan farm.
He disclosed that the five gunmen who came with their faces masked, came into the farm premises and dragged Rev Ogunbeku into the bush and disappeared on foot into the bush.
“The whereabouts of him is still unknown as at the time of the briefing. The diocesan Bishop, on behalf of His Eminence, Dr S.C.K. Uche, Prelate Methodist Church of Nigeria and His Grace, Most Rev.M.K.Stephen, Archbishop of Ibadan appeal to the state governor, state Commissioner of Police, all other security agencies and well meaning Nigerians to please assist in finding the whereabouts of the minister of God and help in his release unhurt”, he said.
Bishop Ajiboye added that since the abduction of the Minister of God who was in company of two of his staff in the farm when he was kidnapped, there has been no communication from his abductors.
“The minister of God went to his farm at Olorunda along Odogbo Army Barrack to collect some things, and he was about leaving his farm after the gate has been opened for him, when a man walked in and asked him to lie down and later four others came in with face mask and whisked him away into the bush. They tried to take away his truck but they couldn’t. That was all we heard and nothing has been heard from the abductors” he said.
Bishop Ajiboye declared that the police are now on the trail of the kidnappers since the incident happened.
