Masari Vows Continuous Support To Katsina Police Command

Katsina State Government has said that it will continue to accord the necessary support to the state Police Command in discharging of its duties.

Governor Aminu Masari gave the assurance when he received the newly posted Commissioner of Police, Idris Dauda Danbam on a courtesy call at his office.

 Governor Bello Masari said the State Government is training members of vigilante groups who would in turn assist in providing security at their various communities.

 According to him,  this  is to complement the efforts of the police working in the state.

 Governor Masari said the training would ensure that, each of the 34 local government areas in the state train vigilante group members.

  Governor Aminu Masari, who appreciated the commitment of the former Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba in the fight against banditry, expressed hope that the newly posted Commissioner of Police, Idris Dauda Danbam would do more.

  Speaking earlier, the new Commissioner of Police promised to evolve more strategies in dealing with the security challenges in the state.

CP Idris Dauda Danbam appreciated the support and co-operation of the Katsina State Government to the police command.
