Make God Foundation Of Your Greatness, Christians Urged

The blessings of God are in multiple folds for those who acknowledge His presence in their lives and accept Him as the true foundation to their greatness through Christ Jesus.
Pastor Chris Eromosele, the  Resident Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Amazing Grace Parish, Uyo, stated this on Sunday, when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council converged on the Church for a special thanksgiving Service to God. 
Eromosele who preached on the topic, “I am a blessing in the name of Jesus” and drew his Bible text from Genesis 12: 2-3, recalled the promise God made to Abraham and his family, and how He fulfilled the promise to Abraham with abundance blessings as He had promised age notwithstanding.
These blessings, Pastor Eromosele stated are ever new till date to all the generations of Abraham, adding that as many that believe in Christ Jesus share from the blessings, and no weapon of evil fashions against them shall prosper.
The man of God also said that any man who is under the blessings of God is above curses of any kind, because the blessings, he stressed, break every barrier.
He admonished the congregation to live the life of Christ, abide in His ordinances as shown in the Bible and hold unto God as the Author and Finisher of their faith, knowing that they are the heirs of God’s kingdom, even as God had declared them as His.
“Those who came before us declared themselves as servants of God but we are the sons and daughters of God. This therefore, means that we are nolonger slaves but God’s own children, and since we are His children, He has made us His heirs,” Pastor Eromosele added.
The Man of God, who lauded the chapel members for taking the best stead to return glory to God, declared them as the best among equals,  and prayed for God’s unceasing blessings upon them. 
He also acknowledged the vanguard roles of the journalists to the development of any society, even in the midst of danger occasioning war, and called for support from government to enable them function better.
Speaking on behalf of members of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Mr. Etorobong Inyang of the Edge Newspaper, said that members thought it wise to return to God in thankful heart because God has shown them favour and love in immeasurable ways including the period of their Week-long events.

Etorobong who is the Correspondent of the Edge Newspaper and Chairman of the Week Planning Committee, expressed optimism that for members to have chosen to return to God in Thanksgiving, God would continue to bless and show His mercy upon members of the chapel in years to come.
“It’s gladden our hearts that we came before God to return all glory and honor to Him for being so faithful and loving to us. His amazing Grace I can say without mincing words, saw us through the success of our Week.
“It would have been out place for us not to come and say to God, thank you. As we have come today, it is our desire and believe that God would receive our Thanksgiving and bless us more according His riches through Christ Jesus,” Mr. Inyang posited.
He however, appreciated the Church’s leadership for providing the chapel members the ambience to praise God for His unspeakable all round favour.
Also as a mark of appreciations to the Church, the chapel presentated a gift to serve as memorable and to the service of God.
The Thanksgiving Service was part of the activities marking the 2021 Correspondents’ Chapel Week, which began on September 13, 2021 with a facility visit to ongoing government projects initiated by Governor Udom Emmanuel in the state.

It would be recalled that members of the chapel on Thursday, Sept 16,  2021, as part of the activities marking its week also, hosted a lecture on the theme: “Post Covid-19 Economy and the Challenges to Ethical Journalism Ahead of 2023 Election. 
The lecture which was delivered by Nigeria’s pioneer Professor of Political Communications was preceded by round table discussions on “Maximising the investment potentials in Akwa Ibom State for sustainable development in a post Covid-19 era”, “Budgeting as a Veritable Tool for Good Governance” and Assessing the Performances of Akwa Ibom State Legislators at the State and National Levels.  
The round-table discussion was moderated by Dr Nsikak Idiong of department of communication Arts, University of Uyo and featured seasoned professionals as Discussants. The Senior Special Assistant to President and himself a seasoned Legislator, Sen. Ita Enang presented a lecture on how the Legislature could be repositioned for effective service delivery. 
The Chapel at the Dinner held at Emerald Event Center later presented the 2021 edition of the CRITIQUE MAGAZINE, an independent publication of the Chapel of over 20 years standing. While the Dinner was Chaired by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel was represented by the Commissioner for Environment, Sir Charles Udoh.
