Maitala’s Legislative Assistant Promises To Uphold Late Lawmaker’s Legacies If Elected Into Plateau Assembly



Former Legislative Assistant to the late Haruna Maitala who represented Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Alhaji Abdulkadir Hassan has pledged his readiness to continue with the ” legacy” initiative of his late boss if elected to serve as a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
  The politician who is eyeing the seat of Plateau State Jos North at the State House of Assembly, explained the need to continue the good works of late Haruna Maitala in providing dividends of democracy to the electorate.

Speaking with our correspondent in Jos at the  weekend, Abdulkadir said he is fully in the race for the state House of Assembly    

He said with the experience and skills acquired at the National Assembly, he is poised to providing the people of the constituency better representation at the State Assembly where he takes over leadership from the current member.

” I want to continue with the legacy initiative of late Haruna Maitala at the State House of Assembly and touch the lives of our people who are yearning for development,” he said.

 He assured the people of Jos North Constituency at the state House of Assembly of quality representation and better understanding among the people.

According to him, there is a the need for better understanding amongst the various ethnic groups in the constituency and called on the people to always play politics without bitterness.

He advised politicians jostling for his boss’ seat to play politics without pulling one another down just to get power.

In the area of youth empowerment programmes, the former legislative assistant promised to provide a quota for them in the affairs of the constituency.

” The youth empowerments programmes and importantly, their participation in politics is our Agenda
,” he assured.
