Maintain Teachings Of Islam As Guide In Preaching, Masari Tasks Ulamas

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has called on Ulamas in the state to maintain the teachings of Islam as a principal guide in preaching to Muslim Ummah.

Alhaji Bello Masari made the appeal when he hosted dinner to the participants of a two day strategic engagement and security awareness seminar for religious leaders in state organized by the office of the Special Adviser on Security Matters.

Governor Masari observed that it is only by doing so, Muslims could be awake about the issue of security.

Alhaji Aminu Masari who said the issue of security was not a new thing in the globe, said only total submission to our creator could solve the situation.

He cited problems and battles faced by the past prophets in ensuring the establishment of Islamic dynasty during their time.

He appreciated the Ulamas in the state for cooperating with his administration and urged them to encourage operators of social media platforms to use it wisely in promoting peace rather than chaos within the communities.

On his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Katsina appreciated Governor Aminu Bello Masari for supporting the actualization of the seminar that attracted Islamic scholars who work together toward facing a common goal.

Also speaking the state grand Khadi Dr. Kabir Abubakar observed that followers of the two Major Islamic sects of Dariqa and Izala had the same goal of inculcating good virtues.

Former Executive Director of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Professor Abdullahi Sani Pakistan urged Islamic clerics to work together in ensuring the restoration of peace rather than allowing their sectional differences to divide them.

Professor Pakistan who was also the chairman of Kano State chapter of Izala urged the state government to do more in ensuring total unity among Ulamas in the state.

Also speaking a Katsina popular Islamic scholar Dr. Muneer Sheikh Jaafaru who made a brief review on a paper presented at the seminar, appreciated governor Aminu Masari for his giant stride in uniting Ulamas in the state.
