Former President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Alhaji Sanni Lulu has called on the relevant authorities to put up a long term plans towards immortalising sport past Heroes and Heroine particularly the late and former Super Eagles coaches; Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu in recognition of their contributions to the development of the country’s football.
Lulu told NNSports in Lagos Tuesday during the semi final match at the NNPC/ Shell  Cup Secondary School competition which his team, Fosla Academy Abuja, defeated their opponents from Oyo State 3-0 that the death of the coaches coming few days after the other is regrettable and the only way Nigeria can remember them is to immortalize them in view of the numerous contributions they made to  the national team.
“I was very shocked when I heard the news of their passing away but as human beings; we have to give glory to God because he knows everything and ask that their souls rest in perfect peace.
“As we mourn these great football tacticians, my appeal is that they should be immortalised because they served this country well. Keshi  won the  Africa Nations Cup both as a player and coach while Amodu was always at hand to rescue Nigeria at important qualifiers and as such they deserved to be honoured”, Lulu explained.
