The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna State has announced fees for candidates ahead of the state’s local government elections, while declaring that forms are free for all our female aspirants
According to a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah Catoh, made available on Monday, the decision was part of resolutions of the Expanded State Caucus meeting held on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Aspirants for Councillorship shall pay the following fees:- Nomination forms- #30,000, Expression of Interest form – #5,000. Total = #40,000.
“Chairmanship Aspirants shall pay the following fees:- Nomination form – #100,000, Expression of interest form #25,000. Total= #135,000,” it stated.
It informed that all statutory delegates as required by the party constitution for councillorship includes all Local Government Party Excos, all Ward Excos and three Ad-hoc Delegates per polling unit (booth) to be elected by the Party Stakeholders of each Polling Unit (Booth) on the date as announced by the Party.
For the chairmanship primaries, all Statutory Delegates, all Local Government Party Excos, all Ward Excos, three Ad-hoc Delegates from each Ward, former Party Chairmen who are still members of the Party, former State Working Committee members who are still members of the Party and former Council Chairmen who are still members of the Party.
