Congress for Progressive Change CPC in Kaduna has accused the state government and State Independent Electoral Commission SIECO of rigging the local government election and called for probe into the conduct of the election.
A statement was signed by the state Chariman of the party, Alhaji Ahmadu Yaro Coca-Cola and made available to newsmen copied the state governor, commissioner of Police, Director SSS, General Buhari who is the party Board of trustees of the party Chairman and the National Chairman of the party.
According to CPC, the government and SIECO only succeded in public funds and further weakening the economic conditions of the poeple specifically the candidates who expended a lot of resources to contest in the election.
“ We are hereby calling for a probe into the conduct of the entire elections in raletion to visa vis the expenditure of the commission. Similarly, all the public officers found to be involved in this mischevious conduct of the election must be summarily dealt with.
“ It is evidently clear that the commission and the government of Yakowa organized this charade in the name of election to further throw the state into chaotic and violent situation. It is also not surprising when the SIECO chairperson followed the governor to his home town to vote on the election day.
“ This further confirmed that the commission was not independent as claimed and that all orders and instructions wire from the government house directly.  Sadly and unfortunately the government is masterminding the plan of using the security agents to enter houses in the name of security search to humiliate, harrass and intimidate peaople. That was why this jamboree election was organized mostly in areas regarded as non PDP local governments to serve as a prelude for the excution of its agenda,” he alleged.
