Rivers State Government has called on the people of the State, irrespective of their political affiliation, to join hands with the present administration in moving the state forward.
Deputy Governor of the state Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo stated this,  when the Bishop led other officials of the Niger Delta Diocese of the Anglican Communion to pay her a courtesy visit in Government House, Port Harcourt.
Dr. Banigo assured religious leaders in the State that the present administration would collaborate with them in the advancement of the kingdom of God.
She pointed out that the hand of God was in their victory at both the Supreme Court verdict and the rerun elections, adding that they would continue to be grateful to God and people of the state for their steadfast believe in the mandate of the new Rivers Vision.
“As a Government, we are happy to see the kingdom affairs advance, and we shall continue to partner the Church in the development of the kingdom principles.”
The Deputy Governor charged them to continually pray for the leadership of the State, assuring that the task of developing the State requires collective effort.
Earlier, Bishop of Niger Delta Diocese, Rt Reverend Ralph Cornelius Ebirieng who spoke through his clerical synod Secretary, Venerable Christian Abbey-Kalio, lauded the present State Government for taking up the completion of abandoned projects by the previous administration that are beneficial to the people.
He used the occasion to formally invite the State Government to participate in the fourth coming synod of the Diocese holding from April 28 to May 1ST 2016, and assured the administration of the support of the Church to achieve good governance.
The Bishop noted with happiness that it was the first time in the history of Rivers State that the Governor and his Deputy are members of the Anglican Church community, urging them to be good ambassadors of the Church.
High point of the visit was intercession for the Government and people of the State by the Bishop.
