The Lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Prince Albert Abiodun Adeogun has declared that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the next elections in Osun State.
The lawmaker, who stated this in a press statement made available to journalists, disclosed that most people in the state are now tired of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola led All Progressives Congress (APC) government as shown in the outcome of the recent Ife Central bye election.
According to Hon Adeogun, the result of the Ife Central bye election won by the PDP candidate, Chief Dipo Eluwole might not be unconnected with the fact that the Governor Aregbesola led government actually exposed the people of Osun State to abject  poverty and grinding penury following the non payment of their half salaries for months.
“How on earth would you expect right thinking people to go and vote for APC leaders who have exposed them to abject  poverty and grinding penury following the non payment of their half salaries for months and threat to sack scores of medical Doctors even when the Federal Government released bail out to clear salaries owed workers” he said.
Hon Adeogun stressed that there was no moral right for APC to have fielded any candidate or ask for peoples votes in the state having deceived same with the change mantra which was turning out to be a mirage, saying “the masses have become wiser and would no longer be hoodwinked”
The lawmaker representing Ife Federal constituency on the platform of PDP emphasized that he was confident that with the outcome of the Ife Central bye election, PDP would be the party to beat in Nigeria come next elections in view of the frustrations imposed on the masses by the APC government in many states of the federation and at the Federal level.
Hon Adeogun however commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the conduct of the Ife Central bye election into the vacant seat in the Osun State House of Assembly.
“The outcome of the election was a true demonstration of democracy because the wish of the masses was not trampled upon by the desperate APC leaders who did all they could to win the election for their candidate despite the hardship unleashed on the residents of the state by Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration”.
Commending all the candidates in the bye election for their mature conduct during the exercise, Adeogun said the candidates should place the national interest above selfish and parochial interest.
