Late Dasuki, a Man of Peace – Ex-Gov. Daniel

The immediate past Governor of Ogun State Otunba Gbenga Daniel has expressed condolences on the passing of the former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki who he described as a true statesman who was deeply committed to peaceful co-existence of the people.
In his condolence message, Otunba Daniel stated that late Dasuki was widely revered by his people and the entire nation having demonstrated unflagging devotion to improving the standard of living of the people.
According to him, late Dasuki leaved a legacy that will be cherished by future generations.
“It was with great sadness that I learnt of the death of the late Sultan, a true statesman who served his country with distinction in various capacities”.
“He was a great leader of grace and warmth with deep affection and compassion who guided the Caliphate with dignity, dedication and vision throughout his reign”.
Otunba Daniel then prayed that Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and provide comfort for the children, the Caliphate and those who shared in the grief the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
