The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Lagos State Council has on Friday, thrown more weight behind the candidature of Mr Samuel Dada of Lagos Television (LTV) for the position of National Financial Secretary of Journalists NUJ.
The hierarchy of the union expressed confidence on the aspirant, describing him as a man of integrity.
“Mr. Samuel Dada is one of the strong pillars of Lagos NUJ and we will do everything possible to support his emergence as the National Financial Secretary of NUJ for another term.
“We are proud to be associated with him and we are hopeful that he will continue to represent the interest of Lagos Council at all times”. the Chairman, NUJ Lagos Council, Mr Adeleye Ajayi said.
Meanwhile Dada has, however, expressed gratitude to the Executive of Lagos Council, saying the gesture was a rear privilege.
As part of efforts towards having a successful outing, plans are in top gear by Lagos Council to set in motion a campaign team with a Midas Touch to help bring home the trophy.
“Lagos leads while others follow, and we will replicate this position come November 2024 at the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference in Owerri, Imo State,” the Council’s Secretary, Mr Tunde Olalere said..
