Lagos NSCDC Sends-Off Retired Commandant In Grand Style With Book Launch

All roads led to the pavilion of the Lagos Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), at it held a pulling out ceremony for a retired Commandant of the Command Dr. John Oyedokun Adewoye.
The ceremony, which was held with a Book launch, authored by the retired Commandant, is the first pulling out ceremony to be hosted by a sitting Commandant in the history of the command.
Hosted by the incumbent Command of the Command, Eweka Douglas Okoro, the event had in attendance the Zonal Commander, Zone “A” Lagos, ACG Olasupo Solomon, ACG Waheed Popoola (rtd) and ACG Fasiu Adeyinka, ably represented by his wife, including other serving and retired commandants.
According to a release by the Command’s public relations officer ASCI Abolurin Oluwaseun, the occasion was also witnessed by several invited dignitories, amongst them monarchs, chiefs, as well as friends, family members, officers and men of Lagos, Oyo and Ondo Commands among others.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commandant Eweka Okoro assured that the command shall continue to witness more glorious retirement and pulling out ceremony in the command and the Corps at large as long as God keeps both officers and men alive.
He prayed for all officers and men to live to witness their retirement and enjoy their benefits in sound health and peace of mind.
The event was well planned by a committee led by the Deputy Commandant of Corps Paul Shomide, HOD Administration and anchored by the Command’s public relations officer ASCI Abolurin Oluwaseun.
