Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Oyo State, Hon. Yinka Taiwo said Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and Engineer Seyi Makinde may soon be back in the party.
Hon Taiwo stated this in Ibadan during a chat with journalists shortly after the Oyo State PDP stakeholders meeting on the party’s congresses kicking off at the end of the month.
He disclosed that towards this end, the party has raised a nine-man committee headed by Brig. General Raji Rasaki (rtd) to ensure timely return of all these people back into the PDP.
The Chairman maintained that the party, in addition to bringing back Senator Ladoja, Otunba Akala and Engineer Makinde, has commenced moves at bringing back all the members that left the party with the trio to join the Accord party, Labour Party and Social Democratic Party.
“The PDP in Oyo State as part of ways of moving the party forward has decided to work together with our members who left the party for other parties such as Accord, LP and SDP and these include our reverred leaders; Senator Ladoja and Otunba Alao-Akala,” he said.
Hon Taiwo noted that there is no doubt in the fact that the coming back of Senator Ladoja and Otunba Akala into the PDP will further boost the image of the party in the state, adding that there will be no problem in sharing of positions with them in the PDP
“As at today we have achieved more than 50 per cent in this direction and I know that before we start the congresses, all that matters to make the party a winning one will have come back to the fold.”
Hon Taiwo assured that all those returning back to the PDP will be accorded the same right as the present members and that they will all participate in the forthcoming congresses.
