Kurama Paramount Ruler Harps On Peaceful Coexistence In Kaduna

*says peace is a magnet of development, praises el-Rufai for  renewed fight against bandits

The Paramount ruler of Kurama Chiefdom, His Royal Highness, Yakubu Sauri has said that there is nothing to be compared to peaceful coexistence in  socio-economic way of life.

Sauri harped on peace while playing  special guest during the swearing-in ceremony of the Youth Wing of the Federated Kurama Association (FKA) officials in Yarkasuwa, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Mr. Sauri who is Bugwam Kurmi ||| reiterated the need for the various ethnic nationalities domiciled in Lere Local Government Area to peacefully coexist.

According to him, no tribe is an island, and the coming together of different tribes living in peace will bring about economic vibrancy that will attract development.

He praised the administration of Malam Nasir el-Rufai as the Executive Governor of Kaduna State over his urban renewal project despite insecurity challenges.

He said Malam el-Rufai remains a leader to reckon with in the annals of Kaduna’s history, whose glaring passion to serve humanity is undoubtedly evident.

Sauri enjoined the people of the state to pray for the administration of el-Rufai and called for support from all well-meaning sons and daughters of the state that can give moral backup to give much more in his efforts to serve humanity.

While calling on the newly elected youth leaders of FKA to provide selfless service that will bring about unity of purpose among the Kurama Nation and the various tribes in the local government area, he said  leadership  is God designed and the leader should consider that as his work in which he is called  to do.

While administering an oath of office to swear in the new officials, Barrister Yusuf Yakubu charged them to be cautious of violating the oath of office as it’s against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said oath-taking is a serious matter in the Nigerian constitution and the expectation is that all sworn-in officials are to give their best by adhering to the bye-laws of FKA.

The FKA President, Mr. Dauda Barau who was in attendance during the swearing-in ceremony, charged the new officials to serve with diligence  selflessness.

Barau motivated them that service to humanity is service to God and they should consider themselves privileged to be chosen  to serve their people.

In his response, the newly sworn-in Youth Leader, Mr. Bitrus (Peter) Garba said with all joy, he accepted to serve the people of Kurama in the capacity of a youth coordinator.

He promised to bring a lot of innovation to the youth wing of FKA that will spur  Kurama youth to move with the trend of life.
