KSHA passes 19 bills and 13 resolutions in first session

Kaduna State House of Assembly has past 19 bills aimed at aiding the economic, social justice among others into law in its fisrt session of the present legislature session.
The Chairman House Committee on information, Deacon Nuhu M Shadalafiya made this known in an interview with newsmen in his office saying that the passage was in its bid to support the drive of taking the state to the next level by the executive.
According to him, the House in its first session received 24
bills from the Executive in which 17 was past into law while two came from Community level. He noted that the Assembly which has over 27 new Members voted into the House in last 2015 elections swung into action immediately after going through training on the legislative process and are still learning from their old colleagues.
The committee chairman added that the House raised 56 motions and 13 have been put into resolutions after a serious deliberation on the floor of the Assembly and are now before the executive for Implementation.
On the issue of whether the legislatures are dancing to the tune of the executive in terms of screening the Governor’s nominees and approving executive bills, the lawmarker said the people nominated are always capable people in the right positions as well bills that have positive impact to development and the lives of people of the state and approve it in that regard.
While assuring the citizens of a roburst Assembly in the second session, he restated the House commitment to ensure that crime and other security challenges are brought down to the barest minimum in the state. He however call on security agents to provide Kaduna State with the necessary security tips to enable them safe guard themselves and urged them to always be vigilance.
