The family of the kidnapped former minister of Foreign Affairs, Bagudu Hirse has disclosed that they were contacted for ramson by his abductors.
Dr. Bupwatda Pokop, a son inlaw to the former minister said disclosed this to our reporter in Jos asserting that “it is true that ramson was demanded shortly after he was taken away“.
He also disclosed that the the gunmen were not specific on the demands or the amount of ramson to be paid.
Dr. Pokop revealed that none of the family members has spoken directly to the former Minister since the incident.
According to him, “it is from Talba that we are also getting any information on him becouse none of us has spoken to him directly”.
It would be recalled that the said Talba, an associate of the former Minister was with him when he was kidnapped in Kaduna in front of the residence of Mallam Mamman Daura with Mallam Abba Kyari in the resident after the former Minister went on a condolence visit over the demise of Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki.
