All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kebbi has suspended the State House of Assembly member, Hon. Sani Idris representing Zuru Local Government Constituency from the party for insubordination and abuse against the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Samaila Dabai Yombe.

Sani Dododo said that following the receipt of complaint against the Zuru Lawmaker about his alleged insurbordination against the Deputy Governor, 16 member working committee sat and set up another 6 man committee to investigate the matter.
He further said that after launching detailed investigation and inviting the lawmaker to defend allegations made against him , the lawmaker was found guilty of the offence “after a thorough investigation carried out and giving the lawmaker fair hearing , he could not defend himself “.
Dododo added that the attitude of the lawmaker was detrimental to the ideals of the APC for discipline, respect and loyalty to leaders of the party. He warned that the party will not condone any act of indiscipline against leaders of the party.
When contacted on the matter by the journalists, the suspended lawmaker, Hon. Sani Idris denied the allegation level against him saying that it was the handiwork of some politicians.
He explained that he was hammered by the party executives because he raised objection against the list of aspiring Councillors submitted to the Governor because of its lopsidedness and lacking true representation of their constituencies which the Governor agreed and called for review of the list.
“I was never rude to the Deputy Governor. In fact i addressed him as my uncle because he is a friend to my father. I believe I am suspended because I am among those lawmakers who pointed out that the list of the Councillors submitted does not contain real people of our areas”.
