KDSG to establish Sports Academy

In a bid to enhance sporting activities in the state, the Kaduna State Government is to establish a Sports Academy in the state.
The state commissioner for Youth, Sports and Culture, Honourable Daniel Amuze Dan’auta disclosed this to Newsmen shortly after the Ministry’s budget defense at the State House of Assembly, Lugard Hall, Kaduna.
Dan’auta decried a lack of functional sporting academy in the country which has been responsible for the backwardness of sporting activities in the country.
The Youth Commissioner further said the state government will also establish an international art gallery in addition to various sporting and cultural activities to serve the public’s yearnings for varieties in the year ahead.
Earlier, the Chairman Committee on Sports and Culture, Honourable Bityong Yakubu Nkom, commended the Ministry for coming up with people’s oriented programmes and projects in their budget and urged the Ministry to be focused and committed towards its implementations.
