As part of effort to support the realisation of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC‎ goals and objectives,  Kaduna State government said it has commenced renovation of dilapidated facilities on the NYSC Orientation ‎Camp in Kaduna State.
‎The State Commissioner of Youth Sports and Culture, Mr. Daniel Danauta‎, disclosed this on Monday during the closing ceremony of 2016 batch B stream II orientation course for Corps members deployed to the State.
‎According to him, “we have commenced phase by phase renovation of dilapidated facilities on this camp to provide a more conducive environment.
“We also expect the ongoing first phase of work on the camp to be completed before the call-up of the next batch of Corps members for 2017.
“Our expectation is that you will reciprocate this gesture by working assiduously in contributing your quota towards the socio-economic development of Kaduna State.
“The Kaduna State government is therefore, ready to support the scheme to ensure the full realisation of its set goals and objectives.
‎Earlier in his welcome address, Mallam Bello Ballama, warned the Corp members to stay away from local and communal politics, and also do everything possible to avoid arguments that could trigger violence.
‎”Endeavour to be modest, wise, humble and security conscious at all times. Identify with areas of need of your host communities and come up with strategies of ameliorating their suffering by initiating and executing meaningful community development projects.
“I therefore urge you all as agents of development to be fully involved in all programmes and policies of the present administration aimed at transforming Nigeria.” He noted.
‎Mallam Ballama, therefore called on host communities to make the security of Corps members assigned to their areas a priority.
