KDSG Dissolves Vigilante Groups, inaugurates Members of 16 Boards

Kaduna State Government has announced the disollution of Vigilante Groups operating in the state with immediate effect.
Governor Nasir Ahmad El-rufai announced the disollution while inaugurating members of the newly inaugurated board members of 16 parastatals at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.
He advised members of the vigilante groups to collapse into the newly inaugurated Kaduna Vigilant Service established by the state government to organ ized various vigilante groups.
“Vigilante groups stand dissolved and any vigilante group in Kaduna must operate under the new vigilant service.
“Members of any vigilante group that fail to comply with the directive would be arrested and prosecuted”.
While urging members of the inaugurated boards to be dedicated and committed to duty, the governor said, “Our expectation is to change the direction from that of PDP to a progressive one of real change.
”We inherited one and half decade of decay, but we are trying our best to make a difference,” he explained.
He thanked the board members for accepting to serve on the various boards and urged them to come up with plans to make the government agencies vibrant and self sustaining.
The boards inaugurated were Kaduna State Procurement Agency, Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, Kaduna State Water Corporation, Barau Dikko General Hospital and Kaduna State Library Board.
Others are Kaduna State Public Workers Agency, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, Bureau of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, Kaduna State Environmental Protection Agency and   Kaduna State Water Service Regulatory Commission.
The rest are Kaduna State Teachers Service Board, Kaduna State Media Corporation and Kaduna State Transport Authority.
