Kaura Local Government All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders officially presented their candidate for the upcoming local government council elections.
The APC stakeholders officially presented Sankey Obadiah to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, at her office in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.
In her response, the Deputy Governor thanked the Kaura APC Stakeholders for their unity in selecting the best candidate from a pool of aspirants and expressed her delight in their unanimous endorsement of Sankey Obadiah.
She voiced her confidence in the party’s success and acknowledged the stakeholders for strengthening the APC’s presence in Kaura, promising her continued support and guidance.
Dr. Balarabe reiterated the importance of collective effort and unity among stakeholders as they prepare for these crucial elections.
She urged them to intensify their efforts, emphasizing the significance of this upcoming election.
In her advice to the candidate, she urged him to prioritize the Kaduna State Development Agenda, particularly focusing on rural transformation, and to align his development initiatives accordingly.
She also encouraged stakeholders with public service experience to assist in creating a roadmap that would guide the implementation of effective development policies and programs for the advancement of the Kaura local government.
During the presentation, Barrister James Kanyip, Chairman of the Kaura APC Stakeholders and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, expressed deep appreciation for Her Excellency’s role in facilitating a smooth candidate selection process and her unwavering support.
Kanyip emphasized that the stakeholders reached a unanimous decision in selecting Sankey Obadiah due to his demonstrated capabilities and significant contributions to the party.
Commissioner for Sports Development, Professor Benjamin Gugon, Executive Chairman of the Kaduna Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, and Dr. Christy Alademerin also voiced their support.
They commended the ease of the selection process, attributing it to Sankey’s impressive track record and praised the Deputy Governor for her efforts in streamlining the procedure.
In his response, Sankey Obadiah expressed gratitude to Her Excellency and all stakeholders, assuring them that, if elected as Kaura Chairman, he would strive to improve the lives of the community and bring pride to the APC, the stakeholders, and the government.
