People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in Katsina State has conducted a meeting with stakeholders and local government party chairmen in the state.
The meeting was held at the state office of the party along Kano Road in Katsina metropolis.
Speaking during the event, the governorship aspirant of the party, Alhaji Imrana Jino called on the party chairmen and all stakeholders to work hard towards the success of the party.
He emphasized the need of the party to field people with proven integrity to contest during twenty-twenty three general elections.
Alhaji Imrana Jino called for more unity and co-operation among party members, urging them to contribute more for the success of the party.
Also speaking, the PRP aspirant for the senate in Funtua zone, Dr. Magaji Dansarai explained that he decided to contest for the seat following the request made by people of the area.
Earlier in a welcome address, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Hassan Hamisu Kankara explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss crucial issues in relation to local government elections recently conducted in the state and the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He noted that PRP as a party, learnt lessons from the local government election and would put more efforts towards the next general elections.
He disclosed that the form for the office of the president is to be purchased at the rate of ten million Naira, while that of Senate and House of Representatives are to be purchased at N1.5 million and N250,000 respectively.
Others are that of governors and state houses of assembly to be purchased at N2.5m and one hundred thousand Naira respectively.
In their separate remarks, party elders, Alhaji Abdurrahman Abdallah and Alhaji Musa Muhammad Kankara called on the party officials, especially local government party chairmen to mobilise people of the state on the need to elect people fielded by PRP during 2023 general elections.
They prayed to God to guide them in fielding the right candidates that would contest various positions during the forthcoming general elections.
