Katsina Police Neutralises Two Terrorists, Repels Attack

Katsina State Police Command has repelled terrorists’ attack and neutralized two terrorists at Tsamiyar Gamzago village of Kafur Local Government Area in the state.
This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Gambo Isah, while displaying the dead bodies of the terrorists at the state headquarters of the command.
SP Gambo explained that the command  received a distress call that terrorists in their numbers, armed with AK 47 rifles, attacked Tsamiyar Gamzago village, Kafur Local Government Area and kidnapped one Hama Sanusi and her little fifteen month old daughter Aisha Sanusi.
Consequently, a combined team of Police and vigilante group were alerted and immediately blocked and engaged the hoodlums into a fierce gun duel.
The team successfully repelled the terrorists and neutralized two of them and rescued the kidnapped victims unhurt.
            The PPRO further said in the course of scanning the scene, one AK 47 rifle with four rounds ammunition and two locally fabricated pistols were recovered.
He also said some of the terrorists escaped and fled the scene as search parties are still combing the area with a view of arresting them.   
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Idrisu Dabban Dauda, commended and appreciated the efforts of the police and vigilante in repelling the terrorists.
He assured members of the public that the police will continue to deal decisively with recalcitrant terrorists until they are all brought to book, while urging the public to continue to cooperate with security agencies by given out useful information on the criminals.
