Katsina State Ministry of Information, Culture and Home Affairs has organized a routine management meeting with the heads of parastatals under the ministry.
Speaking at the occasion, the state Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Abdulkarim Yahaya Sirika revealed that the meeting was organized to discuss the progress from various parastatals of the ministry.
He said the meeting would also assist in creating synergy among the various parastatals of the ministry as it serves as voice of government, there is need of working together.
Alhaji Abdulkarim Yahaya Sirika who used the occasion to call on state owned media stations to give all necessary support towards promoting government’s image, also admonished Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to patronise them in showcasing their activities.
The commissioner further commended the present Governor Bello Masari-led administration for his concerns, especially in terms of promotion of staff when due.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Sani Bala Kabomo noted that the meeting is organized annually to review the activities of the ministry ahead of budget preparation.
According him, the meeting would enable the ministry to scrutinize and provide comprehensive report for a smooth budget presentation.
Alhaji Sani Bala Kabomo also assured that the ministry would continue doing its best to reciprocate the gesture.
The representative of parastatals that attended the event included, the General Manager of Katsina State Radio Service, Malam Abba Dayyabu Safana and his counterpart of Katsina State Television (KTTV), Malam Sani Garba Kuringafa, Executive Director Library Board as well as Government Printer, Sada Dutsinma, among others.
