Katsina State Government has reiterated its commitment to support investors willing to set up business outfits in the state.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari stated this while laying foundation for the establishment of Darma Rice Mill Industry along Katsina/Dutsinma road in Katsina Metropolis owned by a Katsina based Business Mogul Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal.
Governor Bello Masari who lauded Alhaji Dahiru Mangal for his foresight observed that, the Industry would provide more job opportunities to teeming youths in the state.
He observed that the project was a pride as a response to president Muhammadu Buhari’s call on Nigerians to return to farm.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari also commended the Katsina Business Mogul Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal on his plan to establish fertilizer plant in addition to the Rice Mill Factory in the State.
He called on partners of the company to train Indigenes of the state on how best to maintain the Rice milling machines.
Executive Director of the Darma Rice Mill Company, Engineer Fahad Dahiru Mangal said the company with a capacity of processing up to three hundred metric tons of rice per annum would provide up to ten thousand in direct jobs in the state.
According to him the Industry would go a long way in boosting local Economy through engaging local farmers in the state.
Alhaji Fahad Dahiru Mangal explained that, the Rice Mill Company would assist the country reaches its domestic demand for high quality parboiled rice and to further reduce foreign exchange demand on government for rice importation. Speaking earlier the state former Commissioner of works Alhaji Tasi’u Dahiru Dandagoro said the Rice mill company was intended to provide more job opportunities and ensure general development of the State.
Alhaji Tasi’u Dandagoro recalled that the last Economic Summit hosted by Masari led Administration yielded the response of the Katsina based business Margul to embark on the project.
Governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Tasi’u Musa Maigari, Secretary to the Government of the State Dr Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa and the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Shitu Maslaha among others.
