Katsina Govt Debunks Media Reports Of Escalating Insecurity

Katsina State Government has denied the report of LEADERSHIP Newspapers and Channels Television on the escalation of security problems in the state.

The two media houses reported that the situation prompted the government of Akwa Ibom to evacuate its thirty-eight indigenes residing in Jibia and Batsari local government areas of the state.

Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Security Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Katsina denied the reportage.

According to him, the group of the non-indigenes only created the situation to get favours from their Government.

Alhaji Ibrahim Katsina remarked that the State Government was in control of the security situation in the State.

On his part, the Director General New Media to Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Alhaji Al-Amin Isah enjoined members of the press to do something on the situation.

Alhaji  Al-Amin Isah regretted the attitudes of the group of the non-indigenes whom he alleged created the situation to get something from their government.

Also speaking, the President Akwa Ibom community in Katsina State Mr Opion Patrick pleaded the Governments of the two States to act promptly to endure justice was done.

 Also, the Secretary of the association Dr. Francis Amefiook denied the report saying the Akwa Ibom indigenes had a hidden mission.
