Katsina Assembly Vows To Ensure Rights Of Aggrieved Citizens

   Petitions Committee of Katsina State House of Assembly has assured that it will address the rights of aggrieved persons in the state.
   Chairman of the Committee,   Alhaji Abduljalal Haruna Runka gave the assurance when he received a petition on an alleged oppression by the officials of the Joint National Association of People living with Disability leveled by the State Vice Chairman, Musa Ahmed Funtua.
  “It is the duty of the committee to ensure justice prevails on any petition brought before it,” he said.
   The petitioner, Musa Ahmed Funtua complained on an allegation bordering on corruption and maladministration against the current leadership of the association.
     According to him, efforts to resolve the matter have failed since the era of late Sarkin Makafin Katsina Alhaji Magaji Kofar Soro.
            Similarly, another petition has been deliberated by the committee on an alleged excavation of sand at Kogin Jari in Kafur Local Government Area.
 Vice Chairman of the petition committee, Mustapha Yusuf Jibia promised to investigate the matter.
  Secretary of Manoma and Makiyaya Sabuwar Kasa Association, Lawal Mani Sabuwar Kasa lodged a complaint that, the activities of the excavators was causing dangers to Kogin Jare and Rafin Dan-hankaka.   
The secretary lamented that the excavated sand was being transported to Kaduna State.
    The Committee Secretary, Barrister Abubakar Ahmed Dandume said appropriate date would be fixed to invite all the parties for further legislative action.
