The Katsina State House of Assembly has announced the suspension from office of the Chairman of the Faskari Local Government Council, Hon Musa Bala Ado pending the conclusion of investigation on allegations of mismanagement and maladministration brought before the House against him.
The House had received a petition of misconduct signed by five (5) persons, including Ashiru Danjuma, Sulaiman Mohammed, Hamisu Haruna, Halilu Umar and Shamsu Husain requesting the house to carry out a thorough investigation into the activities of the Faskari Local Government Council relating to funds mismanagement as well as total disregard to due process.
The house in its sitting on Wednesday May 17, 2023, led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Tasiu Maigari Zango, after reading the petition, resolved to conduct an investigation into the allegations and subsequent upon that, further declared Hon Musa Bala Ado suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation.
The House then referred the matter to its committee on local government matters which is expected to commence investigation.
