All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate in Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda has promised to construct modern market in Bakori if elected governor of the state.
Dr. Umar Radda disclosed this during a campaign rally in Bakori town while addressing a tumultuous crowd of supporters that trooped out to receive him.
Dr. Radda according to a statement by Director, Media and Publicity, Katsina state APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir described Bakori people as business oriented and predominantly farmers.
Dr.Radda noted that, Bakori was one of the agrarian areas in the state. “It is not only the food basket of the state, but among those in the country. it has one of the largest agro markets where hundreds of trucks of farm produce are exported to all parts of the country twice each week on market days,” he added.
“The Katsina State APC Gubernatorial Candidate’s plan of boosting the state economy would definitely make an impact if he constructs a modern market in Bakori,” the APC campaign council Director said.
Alhaji Abdulkadir explained that, Dr.Dikko Umar Radda’s policy document has a plan to use micro-finance banks in the state to give soft loans to medium, small and micro enterprises.
He pointed out that, the APC candidate has also promised to establish a ministry or department of medium, small and micro enterprises to provide jobs for women and youths in Katsina state.
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir said Dr.Dikko Radda has also promised to engage youths in Bakori local government area for training and attaching them to security agents to fight insecurity.
Dr. Radda, he said would similarly, going to re-introduce extension services to boost agriculture. in addition to other areas of education and healthcare delivery.
The Director, Media and Publicity of the APC campaign council, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir disclosed that, Dr.Dikko Umar Radda and his entourage have visited all the eleven wards in Bakori local government area to acquaint himself with their problems with a view to solving them when resumed office as Governor of Katsina State.
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir said Dr Dikko Umar Radda was accompanied during the tour by his running mate, Honourable Faruk Lawal Joɓe, the APC Katsina State Chairman, Alhaji Sani Daura, his Deputy, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, the Director-General, Katsina State APC Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Ɗangiwa, the state Commissioner of Water Resources, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua and that of Environment, Alhaji Hamza Sule, with other contestants and many other important dignitaries.
