Kano SBMC Committed To Quality Primary  Education – Chairman

The Kano State Chairman, School Based Management Committee (SBMC),  Alhaji Tijjani Haladu  Baraya announced that his committee would continue to provide good learning atmosphere in the state’s primary schools for a better generation.
He stated  this in an interview with our correspondent while inspecting a school renovation work at Fagge Special Primary School in Kano municipality, adding that  education is an important sector that needs people’s participation as government alone cannot  tackle everything especially at present when the globe is in recession.
Alhaji Tijjani Haladu stated that  his comittee  was  working hard in order to mobilize the general public into the services of education  voluntarilly  for  laying solid  educational  background  to young ones  at the primary school level,  calling on the general public to offer their helping hands for better delivery.
Commenting on the level of primary education in Kano State, the SBMC chairman disclosed that since the establishment of the committee in the year 2005,  primary education was receiving  serious attention from the people and other well meaning citizens who are also patriotic to the education sector at both rural and urban settlements.
Similarly,  he used the opportunity to thank the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the support rendered to the education sector by his administration, adding that, “Governor Ganduje’s policies on education are profitable because he is touching  both sides from primary level to the university as we have two universities owned by Kano State Government they are Kano University of Science and  Technology Wudil (KUST) and Yusuf Maitama Sule University,” he stated.
In conclusion, Alhaji Tijjani Baraya commended all the national and international bodies and non-governmental organisations that focus on education for their concern to primary education  in Kano State and solicited for helping hands from similar organisations to partner SBMC in providing quality  primary education  as a foundation of  professionalism.
