The former chairman, of the Central Working Committee on Self-helf Groups, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Aminu Kofar Na’isa has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his plan to restore the self-help projects in order to ensure successful environmental sanitation successful.
He made the remarks in an interview with our correspondent shortly after the new governor announced his government’s readiness to restore back the activities of the state’s self-help programmes for clean environment.
Ibrahim Garba Aminu assured that Kano State can achieve its objectives through self-help groups because they remain best tools to actualize the environmental safety at both urban and rural settlements.
He advised the Abba Kabir’s administration on the needs to use the accredited self-help associations across the 44 local government areas for the environmental sanitation activities, especially as the rainy season reaches its peak.
” We have many registered self-help groups in Kano State who are ready to partner the government to implement the best environmental sanitation programmes and to keep the state clean, tidy and healthy”. He concluded.
