The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Engineer Bala Karaye as it’s  Kano acting chairman as  a final  measure towards  ensuring the sanity of the party  in the state.
New Nigerian Newspapers Online reported that the Kano APC was led by the two chairmen in persons of Umar Hudu Doguwa from the Kwankwasiyya faction, while Abdullahi Abbas who was for the Governor Ganduje faction also laid claim to the leadership.
According to the  APC national headquarters, Engineer Karaye is the authentic chairman of the party and from the appointment, all the party’s activities have been put into the hands of the newly appointed acting chairman  before taking the final decision on the party’s leadership in the state.
In another development, the former party charman, Abdullahi Abbas has been appointed as commissioner for special duties and member of the state’s executive council after being cleared by the Kano State House of Assembly while the erstwhile special duties commissioner was deployed to head the ministry of  rural and community development respectively.
It would be recalled that there were two factions in the party and each side claimed the leadership which threw the party into deep crisis before the national body waded into the matter recently.
