Kake Community Appeals To Gov Uba Sani To Intervene On Land Ownership



People with houses and lands at Unguwar Kake, under  Kufena Ward in Zaria Local Government Area have appealed to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State to intervene on the move to takeover their lands without any compensation by the local government council.

Speaking to Journalists on Wednesday when a team from Zaria Local Government stormed the area and started measuring the area with the view to sacking them from what legitimately belongs to them.

Some household and land owners, Malam Musa and Malama Khadija who expressed dismay, said  that they acquired the lands legally and possess  all relevant documents, but all of a sudden, Zaria Local Government came up and said it is their land.

“It is unfortunate that the people we elected are now paying us with this kind of dividend of democracy”.

They said as law abiding citizens, they are not confronting nor  violent, but want everything to be addressed lawfully.

Accordingly, the land and houses around the said land are over 500, which will be affected.

They thanked His Highness, the emir of Zazzau Dr Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli for fatherly intervention and urged him not to get tired of assisting them as a father.

“As usual his intervention on this matter is very important and highly appreciated by all those concern in this matter,” they said.
