The organizers of this year’s Pre-Season football tournament tagged Danauta Unity and Peace have awarded the Chairman of Kaduna United FC, Chief Benjamin Omale alias Edi-Jen.
According to the organisers, Omale deserves the award, judging from his enormous contributions to the development of grassroots football in the state.
The leader of the organizers who meet the chairman in his Kaduna office on Monday, Nasiru Adamu (Chiji) called on individuals and corporate bodies to emulate the passion and support the Kaduna United FC has been giving to the game of football.
“He deserves this award for his enormous support to football, especially grassroots football. In order to encourage him and also attract some individuals and corporate bodies to emulate Chief Omale so that the game of football will grow from its roots”. Nasiru Adamu said.
In his response, Chief Omale thanked the organizers for selecting him among the recipients, and also promised to continue giving his support to the development of the game of soccer.
He appealed to the organizers not to relax in organising such tournaments.
KADA City won this year’s Pre-Season with a lone goal against Real Stars FC on Sunday.
